When you are a registered member of a parish the church can provide for your pastoral needs to the fullest. By registering you are making a commitment to practice your faith. A practicing Catholic is one that attends Mass weekly and on holy days, and is in good standing with the Church. This is important to be a Catholic in Good Standing to receive the Sacraments of Baptism for your child, First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, Confirmation, or Holy Matrimony, and special tuition at Our Lady of Grace School. To be a Godparent or a Sponsor for Confirmation some parishes require that you receive a letter from your home parish stating that you practice your faith.
Being a registered member is also helpful should you need the Sacrament of the Sick in an emergency, or for planning a funeral.
You are also committing to support the holy mission of the church with your time, talent and treasure. Registered members also receive a convenient year-end tax statement of contributions.
Please take the time to look over all our wonderful ministries. There are plenty of opportunities to immerse yourself in our loving parish family and offer your time and talent.
